A butterfly; to fly beside you
The butterfly has become a well known symbol for Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain warriors for several reasons.
Butterflies symbolise hope, life, transformation & change.
Butterflies go through a transformation when changing from a caterpillar, leaving them unable to recognise their former selves. Some warriors describe this feeling while adapting to their new lives as a Fibromyalgia/Chronic Pain warrior.
A butterfly is delicate and almost weightless - however to someone with heightened pain receptors and increased sensitivity, this light and gentle touch would still cause pain. This is also a constant reminder to us of how fragile we are and how people must be gentle with us, just like with the delicate butterfly. 

A spoon; for those days you could really do with an extra spoon
Many people with a Chronic Illness consider themselves a 'spoonie', a term derived from Christine Miserandino's spoon theory, created as a way to demonstrate how people with chronic pain ration their energy throughout each day. 

An Angel; to give you comfort and protection
Angels have much symbolism - love, hope, faith, strength, protection, courage and harmony.
Angels are protectors and offer comfort and guidance on a spiritual or faith level.
We often refer to people in our lives as being an angel for any of the above reasons and more. 

Purple; the harmonious colour symbol of many chronic illness
Purple comprises of blue's calming and red's energetic properties, bringing together a centered harmony. The two colours also mimic the cycles of rest (blue) and unrest (red), Fibromyalgia causes the body go through.
Purple has positive effects on the body and mind, uplifting spirits and calming the mind and nervous system via the Crown Chakra, the very areas Fibromyalgia affects.
Meanings of the colour purple include; wisdom, bravery, peace, spirituality and protection.
