Shop Policies 

Payment

Payment must be made at the end of the checkout process.

Your order will not be placed until payment has been made.

You will receive confirmation that your order has been accepted once you have paid.

 

Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods are Credit and Debit Card, via the payment service provider Square.

You do not need to have a Square account to pay for your order.

 

Postage

All goods are sent using Royal Mail, via the postage service you requested at checkout (1st, 2nd, 1st signed or 2nd signed).

Your goods will be posted within 5 working days of purchase. If for any reason we cannot meet this timescale, we will contact you to inform you of this.

If you need to receive your goods in a hurry, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you with this. Please ensure that you have chosen a 1st class postage service.

We combine postage on multiple purchases, using Royal Mail’s prices.

We obtain a certificate of postage for all orders sent. We are happy to provide you with a copy of this upon request by email.

 

Postage Disclaimers

Royal Mail will attempt to deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery, upon our request (i.e., posting your order). Therefore, it is important that the address you provide us with is accurate; please double check the details entered during the checkout process. If you find an error in your address while checking your email order confirmation, please contact us asap to rectify it. We will not be held liable for orders that go missing due to an incorrect address having been provided by you.

We will use our reasonable endeavours to deliver the goods or services within the times indicated. However, where delivery times and dates are given, they are for general guidance only and we will not be held liable for late delivery of goods caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

You are responsible for making arrangements to receive the goods posted. If the goods are held at the post office or other delivery company's depot because no one was available to receive the goods when delivery was attempted, then it is your responsibility to swiftly collect the goods. Any orders returned to us due to failure to deliver/collect, will be re-posted to you, upon repeat payment of postage costs after we have contacted you.

 

Packaging

Please be aware that delivery/shipping charges also include the cost of packing your goods, not just the cost to post them. 

All goods will be securely packaged in bubble wrap, and an appropriate envelope / box, depending on the type of goods you have ordered. Due to the care we take in packaging all orders, we cannot accept liability for any goods damaged by the carrier, however please contact us should this occur, as per our damaged goods policy, below.

We endeavour to keep our packing costs as low as possible, currently charging just 50p in addition to the Royal Mail postage fees.

 

Returns

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return good(s) within 14 days of receipt, as per your statutory consumer rights.

The item must be returned unused and with its original packaging still in-tact.

Damaged Goods

A refund or replacement will be provided to you if an item has been received in a damaged condition. This only applies to goods that haven’t been damaged in transit, as we cannot accept liability for any goods damaged by the carrier.

In the first instance, please send us an email detailing the damage, and included clear photographic proof of the damage. We will deal with instances on a case-by-case basis.

 

Refunds

A refund of the full price of the goods (excluding postage) will be issued once the good(s) have been received and checked.

The Credit or Debit Card used for the original purchase will be credited with the original price paid (excluding postage).

If there are any problems with issuing you a refund, we will contact you to discuss this. Please ensure we have accurate contact details for you, namely email address and phone number.

 

Return Exclusions

For health and hygiene reasons we apologise that we cannot accept returns on earrings.

 

Custom Orders

We welcome custom orders and personalisation, and are happy to discuss your requirements with you. Please send us an email with your request.

Please note that personalised and custom orders cannot be refunded if you change your mind.

If a custom item is received damaged, please follow the damaged goods policy, above.

 

Safety Information

Items of Jewellery are not suitable for small children, due to small parts that may cause injury to the child.

We recommend jewellery is purchased for children aged 13+ only.  If you intend to purchase jewellery for a child under this age, we cannot be held liable for any damage or injury caused as a result.

Gemma’s Little Treasures will not accept responsibility for injury to persons, or any damage to property, caused when an item has not been used for the purpose it was created for.
